I have a chance to pick up a white panther for $1400. I have a trose, 6120, white falcon and a gibson 335. Don’t need a new guitar but they seem hard to find especially at that price. I have been interested in these since they came out, but will it add something new that I don’t already have? Thoughts?

    Lot of love for Panthers.

That said, do you want it or need it? I can't answer that! Lol

    Best of luck

If you like it and have all your finances in order I say buy it, worst case is you don't like it and then you can pass it on, from what I see the panthers are pretty popular amongst people here.

My Panther is one of my favorite Gretsch guitars, so comfortable to play!

I’ve had three different sets of pick ups in my panther, stock filters, tv Jones classics and tv Jones setzers. All three sets sounded better in my panther than any other guitar

As an ex "guitaraholic" I know the feeling of seeing a good deal on a great guitar.

Dang if you do, dang if you don't! Lol

If it were red, the decision would have already been made. Great looking guitar you have there.

That’s a cool Panther. It may be a good investment as well as a nice player. Good luck with whatever you decide.

The Flagstaff Sunset Panther is on my Reverb watchlist. Someday I’ll find one!

I asked Rocky from Streetsounds to find me one when I first heard about the Flagstaff Sunset version. Rocky came through for me like he usually does!

I'd prefer your Panther to any Falcon myself :D

Get it or let us know who is selling and someone here will buy it. These are great guitars. Should be easy to sell again at cost or more.

I would get it if the price is that... Play for a while and if it doesn't fill ou sell it at a profit

If you like it... maybe you will be selling the 335 or another...

    I would try it

... aren't Panthers of the rare species of centerblocks with a Bigsby that doesn't have a tension bar?

I have something along that in my mind, and that, to me, says, it may be a chance that won't come across every other week.

I'd buy it, if I had the money on hand and it wasn't an unreasonable price or in bad condition. In case I wouldn't like it that much after all, I guess reselling it without a loss exceeding the cost of shipping isn't that difficult.

If you pass on it, send the deal my way :)

These are great guitars and assuming that it is in good condition, that’s a really good price.
