I know we're talking guitars here. Though a guitarist I've played bass in severall bands as well, my all time hero on the bass is John Entwhistle from The Who. Here are 3 of his "battle axes". The one on the left is a Gibson body, with a Fender neck, constructed by Mr. Entwhistle himself (he hated the fat "baseballbat-like" gibson neck.) it's called the : " Fender Explorer-Bird Bass". The middle one is the : "Alembic 4-string Bass" (birdseye maple) & the right one is : a rare "sunburst 1963 Fender Precision Bass" Would you be so kind to deliver them at my doorstep comming tuesday at 15.00 hours please :D

    Rory Gallaghers strat.
Not one of those tacky custom shop ones, just the real thing.
That guitar is the Trigger of the electric world.

I would also like to have Boz Burrell's Ampeg AUB-1.

Plus: an old J-50 from the end 40s might sound reasonably good now...

    I couldn’t afford a Kent when I started, I had a Barclay. It’s a wonder I kept playing after that one.

What got me into playing guitar was Brian Setzer and his smoke Gretsch.
I know the early Stray Cat Gretsch is more iconic to most but i would have to go with smoke as thats what he played when i First saw them. (Both live and the rumble in brixton Dvd earlier.
But i'm not at all interested in the smoke replica since they absolutely Messed up the volume Knob placement on all current setzer models .... that ruins a perfect guitar for me
