Inspired by @TSims1 new song posting, I've been listening to the Gin Blossoms. Fine power pop band. Saw them open for ZZ Top, Stray Cats and Pretenders years ago. The singer said, "This is great, usually we're playing next to a Ferris wheel!"
Gretsch content - both guitarists rocked them frequently. (They were featured in a Gretsch catalog years ago.)
Rainy, garbage day here in the southeastern US. Steely Dan Can't Buy Me A Thrill feels good for the soundtrack. As a fellow upstate NYer, I feel it's almost in my blood to like these guys.
At the moment grandson working his way through my guitar collection and twisting the knobs on my board
I love it he’s in there playing most of the stuff I play and really starting to grasp it all

What a great find. Very few commercials, lots of new music on a foundation of soul , rhythm and blues, jump- blues, and elements of hip hop.
At the moment, I'm listening to a PBS program about the early music recorded at Gennett Records in Richmond IN in the early 1920s. Lot of musical history there.
Had to crank up some "Green Onions"---just because.
