“What’s Up” by 4 Non Blonds. Everything about it makes my skin crawl.
Having my Baby by Paul Anka.
Guys, you killed him
This is the absolute worst song ever written!
I feel Love by Donna Summers.
All Death Metal music a clear number 1
Young hearts run free by Candy Statton. I could give you a fair few more suggestons.
Shattered ( rolling stones )
The Who's "Athena" must have been written under the influence of something more psychotropic than coke. Great song if you don't try to suss out the words.
For years, MacArthur Park was ranked as the worst song ever.
What was Jimmy Webb thinking?

Musta been a brain freeze.
Oh noooooooo, The Trashmen, "Surfin' Bird" (1963)...Say it ain't so!
That's right up there on my list! In fact, it's on my bootleg "Love To Hate" CD that I gifted my ex-college roommates and dared them to listen to the disc in its entirety, without stoppage or fast-forwarding...I doubt that none of them made it through!
Another one of my "Can't stand ya" (<- Mr. Heyman quote, Seinfeld) songs.
Here's my vote... "Midnight At The Oasis" - Maria Muldaur (1973)
It does not belong to the list of worst songs . Especially the original makes me smile every time and that's all that counts for me. It's like Monty Python, silliness can be art form .
technically or loathing

It’s a Niagara Falls moment....
Foreigner was one of those bands that had some really good songs ( Star Rider & Juke Box Hero) But I must agree that songs like Hot Blooded and Dirty White Boy really trashed their image...
Anything by Leslie Gore or Bobby Vinton. Cry me a river...
OK, Vinton had the one Polish love song.
Tommy James came up with some horrid tunes as well. "Crystal Blue Persuasion"? Really?
There are some country tunes with lyrics so bad that they're funny----
"Drop Kick Me, Jesus, Through The Goal Posts of Life"
"I've GOT Tears In My Ears From Lying On My Back Crying Over You".
Peppermint twist, I don't like that song!
