    5 Gretsch (Jim Dandy, Rancher 12-string, 5422, 6118T, G5435)
    4 PRS (S2 McCarty Singlecut, S2 Custom 24, SE Angelus A20E, SE A50E Angelus)
3 Fender (MIM Tele, American Pro Tele, American pro Strat)
    2 G&L Tribute Legacies
    2 Martin (D-28, Custom D)
2 Manuel Rodriguez (Model E Exotic Cedar, C3F)
    1 Kremona Romida
    1 Cordoba 45R

As evidenced by the list, I had a severe case of GAS. But alas, I THINK I am cured! In fact, I have actually off-loaded about half of these guitars, handing some off to my kids. I no longer own any Gretsches (sad to say), but two are still in the family. Personally, I still own the two PRS S2's and the SE A50E, the two Fender pro's, the two Martins, the MR Model E, and the Kremona. Aside from the Martin D-28, the PRS S2 McMarty Singlecut gets the most attention. In my opinion, it's a really good guitar, especially for the money.

Very few for me, I tend to keep them. 66? Sears Silvertone w tube amp case, gave to nephew, 1967 Univox es335 - still have all original. 2006 Fender Telecaster (sold), Gretch Electromatic (sold), Epiphone Special P-90 Still Have, Squire Stratacaster (sold), Glarry Stratacaster Still have. Well I guess I don't keep them after all.:( I miss the Silvertone and the Telecaster. Never mated with the Electromatic. believe it or not that $80 Glarry is my go to player…So nice and light with a great board.

I’m not sure ya need more than those two.

I’m finding that in the electric world, Gretsch and Fender do it for me.

I have finally weaned myself down to only 8 guitars-7 Gretsch and 1 BC Rich. I have had a lot of guitars over the years from junk to jewels but I've been a Gretsch man since the first time I got my hands on a Gent in a local music store. I was just a kid but it became my obsession to own one.

ELECTRIC guitars -- Gretsch "by a mile" (to quote others, above) and for over 6 decades. Other brands -- 1 each of a couple of brands but all those are history.

Accoustic guitars -- Martin mostly -- 1 Guild and 1 Ovation (both long since gone).

Over the years and currently, I've owned Gibsons the most. But I've also owned lots of Fenders, a number of Gretsches, several Guilds, a few Epiphones, a handfull of PRS's, a few old Kays. I owned an Ibanez once.

They were great guitars, rock solid.
I bought mine second hand to the guy who was rhythm guitar player in our teenage band when I switched from bass to rhythm guitar due to my inability to properly play the bass while singing.
Over the years, it suffered lots of bad treatment, and always remained up-and-working fine. Only thing I ever changed were strings.
I was mainly strumming like a mental, more interested in songwriting than learning to play the guitar.
And in the end it looked quite like that one:

I always kept a very basic rig: directly plugged to my Yamaha JX 65D, basic channel 1, no pedal no gain no reverb. Blunt.

    Yamaha JX 65D 02.jpg

Here in action by something like 1989 (plus or minus one year).
    Ibanez sb70 Swirlin ship.jpg

I have absolutely no clue what has become of it. In my memory, it simply vanishes at some point. Same as the amp.
From time to time, I'm kinda nostalgic about it.
The closest (to the kind of use I had) now is my MIM Tele, but it's much better.

2x Sterling (Music Man import) Axis
    1x EBMM Axis (My baby)
    1x Fender Strat (MIM)
    1x Gretsch 5655TG
    1x Fender P Bass (MIA)
    1x Danelectro Baritone 66BT
1x Taylor 314ce (My other baby)

So, Sterling I have the most of, or tied with Fender if you count my bass. Or Music Man if you lump my EBMM Axis with the Sterlings. I've been eyeing another EBMM (Sabre). I guess I'm partial to the 4+2 headstock design.
