G6210 Jr. Jet Masterbuilt.jpg I was browsing GC's site and saw this out of the corner of my eye- didn't quite sink in for a minute or two and I had to go back and see if I really saw what I thought I saw... G6210 Custom Shop Jr. Jet Masterbuilt by Stephen Stern. I like it, but I thought it was kinda odd they went with the B5 on a $4700 guitar, considering what most folks seem to think of the B5/ B50. Way out of my league price- wise, but I love the color, knotty pine top, and the tortoise pickguard and binding. SD P90s, too.

That looks like a lot of fun, but the price would be a deal-breaker for me, too.

The single tone knob, wrong Bigsby and price kill it for me. Really cool guitar, but execution is just wrong imo

Is there any Gretsch with more than one tone knob?

    Anywho. Not my bag.

No, but any guitar with just one knob on the lower bout looks off to me. Same thing with the Steve Wariner signature. I don't know why.

I knew that after people started to remove the knotty pine from their living room walls in the 80s and 90s that they would sooner or later find a use for it...:D.

My first thought was man, that is awesome. Then saw the 4700 and literally sounded like the air came out of the balloons

Is there a precedent for a Gretsch in knotty pine?? Teles yes and some LP-style and others. Ranchers maybe??

If it was under for USD 500 and made overseas it would be a cool little rocker that I would be tempted to buy.
As a highend customshop guitar it is simply to mashed-up for me.
    And that B5...no thanks.

Forgive my ignorance, has there been Gretsch branded B5s before?

I'm sure it's a great axe. The wiring should have been one P-90 and master volume only. I can only pine for it.

Maybe it's not a tone knob but one to balance between the 2 pickups.
