Like a 6122 straight on, probably because of the closed f holes. Is it me or does that picture make it look slimmer?
He would have a designed sound, with the TVJ and only one tone and one volume. Wonder how that will go over. Not sure it would be for me.Okay, I just watched the video. Paul Yandell Duotron. That's a new on for me. Overall that is a beauty of a design, and one of the more "practical" models I've seen. Good on ya Steve...![]()

While I love the bling of Gretsch hardware, especially the look of dual pup and mud switch pairing, I think that from a purely functional standpoint, this setup would work quite well. Steve will have realized that in the heat of battle, it's important to be able to dial in your sound almost instantaneously, rather than have to lose a few seconds readjusting everything to get that tone you need for the next several bars...He would have a designed sound, with the TVJ and only one tone and one volume. You have my vote pal. It will be interesting to see if enough of these enter the market to create an opportunity for used pieces before too long...This is the guitar that was on my wish list just before the pandemic destroyed my finances for more than 2 years. Maybe I should start saving again and keeping an eye out for a used (but not abused) one.
