Listened to quite a few things. Thought about learning a Graham Parker song Get Started/Start a Fire. Ordered finishing supplies for my StewMac 335 kit.

Just the usual practice, mostly on the Rancher Jumbo. Been exploring this new Oceans 11 pedal lately, amazing what it can do.

Found a free metronome on my Android phone, practiced a few scales and chord positions. Later it's maintenance on the turntable, dampening fluid for the tone arm. Once every 5 or 6 years as a rule.

I'm a closet dobro player......love the sound of the instrument since I was a kid. Instead of listening to news/talk on the stereo, slammed in The Great Dobro Sessions CD so I could absorb and learn from some of the masters of the instrument.

Briefly played my telecaster and 12 string Takamine. Filed the fret ends on the Takamine a bit. Received a set of LaBella flat wound bass strings in the mail.

I’m the house guitarist for, well, my house. I play a couple songs at bedtime for my kids each night. Tonight’s set list was Dust in the Wind and a song I wrote for my son.

I only had about 20 minutes to noodle around. Was playing the Korina offset Tele and I think it needs the P90’s swapped out in the future. I’ve been debating between some staple P90’s or perhaps some TV Jones TA’s. But before I do, I’ve been wondering if a vintage cream pickguard and pickups would look better due to the lighter rosewood board. But maybe black is best and I should get a one ply black guard instead. Hmmm...

Woodworking but it was guitar related:

Two jigs to create the neck angle and the tenon shelf for a fingerboard extension neck

    Two black walnut fingerboard blanks

A maple neck blank with a prepped walnut fingerboard and a jig for drilling out Gretsch-style thumbnail inlay recesses

Lots more to do but it's getting there:cool:

Listened to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Greatest Hits, while I did the weeks ironing.

    Never gets old...unlike the ironing!

    Good guy, great dad!
I used to do so loooong time ago (almost 20 years ago actually). My favorite was Desolation Row. The poor boy was bored to sleep by the second or third verse and I would continue and end the song anyway because I was so proud to know all the lyrics and all verses in the right order

Played for almost an hour. The most I’ve managed in 3 years.
I’ve been plagued by 2 frozen shoulders so playing my favourite 16 and 17” bout guitars was out of the question.
Found a €85 J&D Tele mini with 22.2(?) scale which has been a godsend.

    - practiced some scale cycles
    - praticed some songs I know
    - drooled over a 2012 Les Paul Traditional mahogany satin

    - went to a friend, my previous guitar player and now my guitar teacher to get some feedback on my progress and how to improve further as in compose my own rythm and lead licks
(I don't like just copying licks, I need to understand why they sound good and how they are achieved. So I can properly understand the logic behind music.)

The Les Paul in question, my friend is also a luthier and once I get to it, he's gonna recreate it according to my specs.
Not yet decided on "Worn Brown" or "Cherry Satin", maybe a sort of blend between the two, definitely satin :p
