What is your favorite amp to use with your Gretsch guitar. Me I have always been partial to my 1965 Fender pro reverb. Goes great with my 57 6120. Great tone from an all hand wired vintage amp. She's in great condition too. Not a reissue but the real McCoy.

Bluesman61, that is one fine lookin' Pro Reverb. I'll bet you take some Armor All cleaner to that Tolex now and then. (I do.) I've been using a Fender Blues Jr III for the past year and a half for gigs. I had a blonde BJ about 10-12 years ago, but it seemed very dark to me and I was playing Strats and Teles through it at the time. I sold it and used a Vox Pathfinder for a long time. The BJ III is a much brighter amp. I did replace the reverb unit with a Rubytubes reverb (fantastic), and a Tung Sol preamp tube in the V1 slot for even more brightness. I usually play a 6120DSW, a G5128 or a 5120 with Surf 90's through it. I am very happy with this BJ. (I'm on the lookout for a BJ III in the Western tolex.) I'd do the same wee mods on it and play Ghost Riders In The Sky every set!!! :)

I like to use either my solidstate Crate G60 or my old Gibson GA-15RVT Explorer tube amp from 1966.

Thanks I like the even fuller range sound I can get with the pro. Makes for a nice blues combo and it's got a stompin trem.

A '58 Bassman- the real deal. I paid $100 bucks for it 30 years ago.

A Western Tolex Blues Jr III with a Swamp Thang speaker.

I recently bought a Hot Rod Deluxe and might get rid of it do to that fact that the damn thing reeks so bad of cigarette smoke that even after airing it out and scrubbing it down, it smells up a room quicker than six pack a day chain smoker. It's so bad I've been leaving it outside. I smoked 35 years and quit cold turkey almost three years ago and I've never smelled anything like it.

I used to have a Palomino V32 that I really liked. I wish I would have kept it.

Its a peavey delta blues for me. I think it sounds great, and when it needs to be, its really really loud.

I mostly use my 1965 Vox AC30 but my 5420 sounds great as well through my 19 year old Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue with a Vox silver back speaker from 1965.
