As a Scotsman, I love porridge. It’s really good for you (lowers cholesterol, balances up blood sugar, keeps you full and has slow release energy to keep you going), you can customise it anyway you please - sweet or savoury and it’s cheap! Another good one is banana pancakes which you can also customise however you wish. Just my 2 cents/pennies
The best scottish way to accommodate oatmeal definitely is the famous Cranachan. Now I don't know if some whisky flavour will suit your breakfast :D

Scrambled egg whites with my saved bacon fat, tortilla, refried beans and some avocado! My all time favorite!

Ok now this i haven't tried

Always the creature of habit, I've been stuck on a pair of maple flavor Morningstar "sausage" patties, two slices of Pepperidge Farm brown sugar & cinnamon swirl toast w/ a good bit of butter, & a bunch of coffee for the last month.

Under normal circumstances it would be the double smoked bacon & egg croissant bun sandwich (hold the bacon) & a 6 shot skim no whip white mocha from Starbucks on my way to wherever I'm going during the week. I think my current standard is probably healthier in the long run & certainly much cheaper.

Egg sandwiches of one sort or another are certainly my go to regardless.

What the hell is "Morning Star Sausage"

2 versions:
1. When I'm feeling righteously correct:
Corn & courgette fritters with smashed avocado and spinach salad.
2. when I don't give a damn (life is still too short anyway):
Eggs over-easy, crispy bacon, sausage, onion, mushrooms, sourdough toast and beans on the side!
Hmmm never tried option 1

Some pure yoghurt layered with fresh fruits, cereals and marmelade is something I really like for breakfast.
Since I really do not like spending time on my breakfast on working days I usually prepare it the night before and keep it in the fridge.

Most days it's steel cut oatmeal with raisins, pecans and walnuts for me. But there are days that I'm bored with that and will veer off to something far less healthy, like a chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-a or pancakes and ham (a weekend morning indulgence that usually causes me to skip lunch and exercise hard before dinner).

I’m not exactly spoilt for choice over here. I’d make a decent English breakfast if I could find good bacon and sausages. Love to compliment it with warm beans in tomato sauce(add a bit of Worcester).

Just to vary a little I had some salads and baked potatoes with cream cheese mushroom filling.

Love porridge too, but never can be bothered to make it. So boring! :D
My wife was happy when I started making the 20+ minute steel cut oats because while I was waiting around I would totally clean the kitchen.

Natural yoghurt over granola and sprinkled with mixed berries when its warm outside. Pot of black coffee. Sketchbook. Pen...... heaven.

steel-cut oatmeal drizzled with honey in the winter. Pot of tea. Soft cashmere sweater. Thick socks..... comforting and reassuring.

Poetic Imagery. When I'm ambitious, I make yogurt, like it plain with some fresh fruit.

Chorizo and eggs.

Scramble equal amount of eggs into browned and drained chorizo. Serve on flour tortillas with shredded cheese, onions, salsa, anything you like on breakfast burritos.

I love the raw tortillas you can buy from Costco in the refrigerator section! Cook them up in your favorite cast iron and you’ll find yourself in heaven

Mom would do apple or blueberry pancakes. Coming home from my AM paper route in the winter, there'd be fresh blueberry muffins waiting.

Oatmeal/porridge/gruel are all pretty much the same thing. All of them are made better by what you add to them---fruit, nuts, brown sugar. In Polish, it's called kascha (cereal)---stick to your ribs food.

I'm one of those who normally doesn't eat the first thing in the morning. Cuppa coffee for sure, and a bit of pastry or toast is a bonus. We normally do a big breakfast on weekends. Daily, I'm happy with a bowl of cereal (vitamin enriched cardboard).

Most mornings here start with a kale smoothie. Kale, berry mix (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries), ginger, turmeric, walnuts, flax seed, beets, cinnamon, cardamon, and certainly some other stuff I'm forgetting (because my wife makes them). It's surprisingly tasty (to me) because you mostly taste the berries with a bit of the ginger.

MY Chorizo and egg grilled burrito. Slice onions into to 1/2" strips. Cook onions in butter and vinegar (Carmelizing). Cook chorizo. Cook an egg and place scrambled egg on a burrito size flour tortilla. Place cheese, chorizo and carmelized onions on top of egg. Now fold the tortilla and grill on a flat pan...
