I see it as simply elegant
This is PINK !!!
Another great reason to buy a guitar and say you were doing it for her! She can't argue with that. Nice!
You could always put stickers on it and it will play just as well.
If you are worried about being macho.....
The tan paint scheme on desert squadrons turned pink in the sun. Also, as this is an RAF P40, they were pianted pink for flying dawn and dusk missions against red skylit clouds....
I think the color is pretty sweet! You should complain about the nut though. Perhaps they will send a new one?
I am putting together a Jazzmaster. Originally I had planned on using Shell Pink from ReRanch but the color was terrible (I'm not sure how old the cans were though.) Instead I ordered Mary Kay Pink (as in the cosmetics company not the Strat lady.) Their original color was a very pale pink and when I sprayed it, the guitar looked very similar to your model.
Gretsch inadvertently created the very pale Cherry Blossom Pink guitars back in 2012:
Very pale pink:
This was my first Gretsch. I traded it for my Panther but I really liked the Cherry Blossom. I’m not buying the whole “it was a mistake” story.
It just has to make YOU happy. No one else.... So return it, keep it, sell it. Whatever works for you. Life is just too short to stress over it.
I love pink guitars, shell pink is one of my favorite colors, I just thought this guitar was going to be white!
I think it looks classy, not the usual things the "sheep" of the guitar playing world flock to buy. You say the sound is fabulous, it plays great, so that's two plus points. I think it would look good on stage , winner all round. But, if you don't like it, it's up to you.
And, the SAS use pink landrovers! You don't get more manly than that lot...
It looks slightly purple or lavender from the photo. Beautiful guitar!
