If you need an amp for on the go it may be perfect. I would definitely need to try it in person. Good luck!

Reminds me of their DA series from a few years ago. The 8" speaker and higher wattage should make for a real improvement.

Imo seem to serve different markets. The Vox is for personal playing, the roland for public performance. One review says good for buskers but I question that with 8" speakers. Maybe a solo performer. The roland looks like it would work with a band. The Vox looks to be about 1/3 the price as well.

More comparable to this Vox imo is the Spark.

Yeah true - maybe closer to the Spark.

I have the Roland Street Cube EX and it's not just for public performance.
Great for that for sure but I've never used mine for that.
    It does so much more....

Excellent little 50w SS clean amp for guitars, harmonica, voices.
Really great as a keyboard amp - you can gig with it cabled to a keyboard.
I use it daily for playing backing tracks from a laptop for guitar practice.
I've also used its acoustic guitar section to record with.

The Roland doesn't have rubbish and useless effects like the Vox and it doesn't have unusable overdrives like 99% of SS amps. Most of what Vox have put in that MiniGo would be unusable imo :D

I still have (2) DA5's that I like a lot. I had a Rhythm 5 and it didn't sound as good to me. If I was still buying amps the GO would be worth a try.
