I recently came into a '62 Clipper with HiLo'Tron in the neck. Sounds amazing!

The odd thing is that the pickup cover is without a Gretsch Logo-- I've attached a pic. No sign of it wearing off, either. Has anyone seen one like this before?

Did you take the pickup cover off? I've seen some people flip them over (to the blank side) and my Annie had extra (basically brand new) covers underneath the worn ones too.

Wow... interesting! Old guitars are cool like that, with their histories and all.

I wondered whether the neck pickup on my 1964 Tennesseean was authentic, because I couldn't see any marking on it. Finally I noticed diagonal lines near the corners that matched the logo on the bridge pickup. That told me the logo had worn off or been erased. I've seen several other vintage HiLoTrons with missing logos.

Thanks-- I found that on mine, too. Mystery solved!
