I’m trying to see if there is any interest in another run of this great overdrive pedal, Ubangi Stomp, from the Nocturne Brain. Like a fool I had two and sold both of them. Ugh. But if there is enough interest tavo will make another run of 25 on a pre order. If you would be interested comment here and let’s see what we are looking at.

I’m not sure if the price will remain the same as it was in the past but it was previously $265.00 according to the web sight.
Maybe @TV the Wired Turtle will chime in and shed some light on how much and possible new design

I'd be up (or down, depending upon your generation and which directional adjective you use to indicate strong interest) for one. I sold mine and, like @nickurso, regretted it. I used it on our recording of this song and haven't been able to reproduce the tone with anything else.

I always thought it seems like a cool pedal but i´m not sold by the youtube demos...
Wish there were some good demos playing really gritty rockabilly, psychobilly or punk rock

What I can tell you is that most pedals like this have a sweet spot where they work the best. The Ubangi actually works across the whole sweep of the gain control. Low gain some pedals are cheap and fizzy sounding or at full gain but not the Ubangi it will work in any setting on the pedal. Very organic guitar sound. That’s why these never come up for sale anywhere.

I´ve never been a dirt pedal guy, the only one i had was a tubescreamer to push a fender amp i once played a bit harder.
Usually i´m just going with my amps distortion but there´s something about the ubangi that seems interesting to me ....
could be a cool different character for certain songs

Tavo showed me a great way to use the Ubangi just to hit the front end of the amp, rather than supplying drive from the pedal. Crack open the gain, set volume to unity, and tone to taste. Then run your amp to the edge and let the pedal hit it hard. Big, fat sound!

You can use it like a tube screamer and put the gain low and push the volume. Also the tone control or whatever he called it works very well and it’s all useable across the sweep

I’ll PM you the next time if I come across one for sale. Just in case you’re unable to get enough players willing to order. A great pedal and best of luck.

Since I have my new enclosures being made, which are the old original enclosures I thought it'd be fun to put out a variant that has the original circuit of the Ubangi but some added control.
talking to my PCB design guy first so we can fit it in the box.
