That's awesome. What's the starting price (for a Trussart guitar) for this level of service? I've never seen one in the wild.

I've purchased all of my Trussart guitars used.

The service is top shelf.

James Trussart is VERY on hand with any questions.

Trussart guitars are VERY expensive.

I think James no longer posts his prices because he doesn't want to compete with dealers.

My Trussart guitars:

I have 2 Trussart Steel Deville guitars.

One is a shiney chrome with holey back; rosewood board; aluminum neck binding and aluminum dot inlays.

My other Steel Deville is a full brushed aluminum body; no binding; ebony fretboard and standard Dot inlays.

Each Trussart is different like a fingerprint.

Each is made to order.

Again, VERY expensive.

Each was purchased used and I have between $2100.00 to $2199.00 in each.

I'm sure they're priced higher today.

Very cool. I'd love to see an offset by them. How is the weight compared to the body type equivalent (e.g. tele shape compared to a typical tele)?

I love the bass . . . but 11.2 lbs. The expensive part will he the doctor bills and physical therapy required after playing it!

I'd love the hollow tele (8lbs) in an offset. Very cool designs.

I want that Steelphonic. My favorite finish is Rust and Cream Snakeskin. I think they're somewhere past six grand now.

Yeah, they're pricey.

I bought that from GC in Nashville, TN.

I took a chance.

I have that Trussart for close to 10 years.

It has the stock Candy Box.

It's stereo with the far left nob as a volume for the piezo p/u.

The humbucking p/u's are clones of Rich Robinson's P.A.F.'s

To my understanding, GC sponsored James Trussart's music booth with the idea that what wasn't sold will go to GC.

I acquired that from GC as a NOS.

I was able to get a 4 year finance payment plan.

The guitar started at a very high price and after waiting some time, GC lowered the price to $2100.00 and I bought it.

GC had over a dozen Trussart's and I, like everyone watching, pounced when the price lowered.

I think this is what you're looking at:

Again pricey, but worth it.

Happy hunting.

If you can, acquire your Trussart or any guitar clean and used.

You'll save a lot of $'s and you'll have the mojo that was left in the guitar.

I am blessed to have an understanding wife and a ton of guitars.

Given the choice, I'd buy a set of strings rather than buy a pair of socks.

I think that'll be less expensive.

:>)

Be happy and keep pickin'.

This one was purchased used in 2008 for $2300. I never liked the alligator skin pickguard and contacted James to have him sell me a plain reflective guard for it. He would only sell me the plain polished guard if I sent him the guitar for his workshop to fit it perfectly. I did so, and I appreciated his commitment to the quality!
