I was searching photos of archtop pickguards because I think I’m going to try making a bound pickguard for my G100CE; a slightly different shape in tortoise shell with cream binding. During my search’s I came across some D’Angelico Ebony knobs and I was powerless to stop myself from ordering.

Here they are in position with the stock plastic knobs just set next to them. They have a great Art Deco look without being to over the top. The Ebony feels great.

    Silly, the things we do....:D

Those look awesome! The others were ok, but they kinda look like pedal knobs. These go great with the bridge base and tailpiece.:)

Looking great. Did you order those directly from D'angelico?

Co dependent enabling is a beautiful thing.
Hardly extravagant. That's the price of a crappy deli sandwich here! I might get some for a pedal.

This in not Bling at all : this is Art-Deco !:cool::cool:

Now what you need, @radd , is the adequate Art-Deco pickguard material ;) :

The originals from the 40s :

The 2 repros I made from modern Acetate :

I love it, and a making a pickguard is next for me. What was your source for the material?

I think that you can probably ask to glassmount suppliers in USA, as Mazzucchelli is one of the leaders in modern Acetate production. Or maybe they have a sales representation in USA ?

    A+!
