Drop the piggy bank and let go the hammer… there is absolutely ZERO chance this is legit and you will be disappointed/ out your investment…

People look at these sites and hope they are real, the attitude should be "Is that even remotely possible??"
There is no fairy godmother selling $1K guitars for $69, not anywhere in the world. If you got a $1K guitar for free, would you sell it for $69?
Do you think someone is throwing away hundreds of dollars with every sale because of their love of humanity?
The people who set up these sites are predators, they prey on honest people. 1000% selfishness.
These are not overstocks, they are not leftover NOS, they are not blemished, they are not stolen...because they are not real.

My buddy just sent me a link to a Chibson Firebird on eBay, the picture is 100% a real Gibson Bird, i shudder to think what you're actually gonna get for $369.00, i know i could get a CV Squier or Epi SG or any number of great used guitars around here for that much though. I'm not buying anything that's shipped from China right now, i been hearing too much bad stuff, I've had good experience before though.

A truly honest person wouldn't fall for that scam. You'd have to have some larceny in your heart to believe that you're getting that good of a deal. You can't fool an honest man.
Sadly, GC can't sue or even complain about copyright infringement. Many places in Asia don't care about our laws.

So, you get no guitar, they get your name address, phone and credit card numbers. You do get to live with identity theft. No bargain there.
The world has changed a lot in my lifetime. People have to realize that what you see and hear and read (especially on the internet) often has zero relationship with the truth.
There is no one policing those websites so they totally ignore legality (and morality) and use whatever words and pics they think will create sales. There is no penalty for lying and cheating anymore and they know it.

When you see something suspicious on the trail, smell it. Does it smell like BS? Then touch it. Does it feel like BS? Then taste it. Does it taste like BS? If it smells like BS, feels like BS, tastes like BS, then it must be BS.

On another forum, a member had ordered a rare pistol from an overseas website.
"I had been watching everywhere for about a year to find a 1911 lightweight commander 9mm model 6722, then last October a site called *******.com showed one nib for very reasonable price, so despite my concerns of purchasing overseas like that, I decided I'd give it a shot. I expressed my concern with the "company" from the get go, and all throughout the process they kept reassuring me everything was legitimate, even after 3 different times of them requiring new customs fees that they swore would be refunded upon delivery of the gun to my ffl.
Well of course it ended up being a scam, with me being out 2500 bucks ,and no gun to show for it. After looking into the address the bogus company is using as their home office, it turns out it is the address of a real gun manufacturer that has been at that location for a very long time, and that they had been made aware of the ********.com using the address on their site, and had posted a warning to its customers to refrain from any interaction or business transactions with them. I emailed the owner of the real company, and he thanked me for notifying him of the issue and said that they had already contacted the authorities on a couple previous occasions in hopes to bring the crooks to justice and get the site taken down. As of this post, ********.com still has its site up and is still showing the pistol I tried to buy for sale."
That is why these sites are flourishing, people still fall for them.
I added the underlining and starred out the site name.

I dropped GC an email and let them know. We'll see if they reply...
I guess my conscience wouldn't let me let that one go- since it was on fb, potentially thousands of people new to guitar and maybe not knowing any better could be ripped off by this. Hope I did the right thing.
Fake. But go for it. Maybe you'll get a cool guitar keychain or one of those guitar scale models they sell at Guitar Center.
$69 for a guitar that looks like the fakes that got posted here recently? Totally worth it to me, you could even do a lengthy Youtube review! Imagine the dozens of views for that ad revenue!
I just got a professional-looking guitar ad in FB that has a Gibson logo and selling LPs and others for $88.
I had forgotten before but if you click on the three dots toward the top right of the ad you get the option to report the ad. I always report them and choose "Scam" from the list. I wish FB had a way of screening them out before we see them but everything is automated today and they can slip through.
I've reported every one so far (probably 6 in 6 months) and I never see them again. I hope they are not just blocking them from me and are taking them down as they should.
If I got scammed I would sue FB, by the way. But I imagine there is something in the users agreement blocking that.
