I was on facebook yesterday, and this ad came up for a site called rbaitu.com. They are showing guitars for $69 bucks- all name brand, and some are guitars that go for thousands. It says try it from your home for 30 days, and if you don't like it, send it back. I didn't see anything about it hitting your account every month if you decide to keep it. It also has Guitar Center's logo at the top of the home page. Definitely sounds like one of those too- good- to- be- true deals. Check it out and see what you think. I'm very tempted to try it out and take one for the G-T team if it turns out to be BS...

If it was Guitar Center it wouldn’t be rbaitu.com. Sounds fake to me. I do not see GC running that deal through a third party. There’s lots of fraudsters that also make pages look official from another.

That's what I was thinking- they just hijacked the logo to make it seem legitimate.

I would never pay money for any of the fake stuff they sell on Facebook, it's almost ALWAYS a scam. You'll get nothing, or some cheap item that has nothing to do with what you ordered.

I was thinking at best, it would probably be one of those little mini replicas about 5 inches tall. Whatever happened to truth in advertising? Folks used to get in trouble for misrepresenting items for sale. These days, it seems like any kind of scam is fair game, and no consequences.

R bait U? Masterful.

According to Whois the Registrant is : “Domain admin” which probably just shows details of the registration service they used. Looks like they lease a nice cubicle in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
If you have been duped you could mail or phone. Mind the time difference.

The good news is that they are only stealing $69 from you, plus shipping and taxes. Sounds like a great deal. Fraud is bad but sometimes someone is so greedy and stupid they just might kinda deserve it.
