Used ProLine Jet G6228 BT, Players Edition She arrived on time. Beautiful guitar; however there was oxidation on all the metal parts on the body and it was pretty bad. Worse yet, someone tried to remove some of the oxidation on the pickups and tail piece with what must have been a scotchbright pad. Folks think those things are not abrasive, on soft metals they leave nasty scratches. the seller had noted the oxidation, but I did not think it was that bad. I opened up the three back plates and inside it is pristine, as is all the paint. Even the frets were very dull, oxidized. I think it sat for a year or more. I considered returning it but I got a great deal on it so I thought I would see what I could do with it. I pulled everything off and used my micro mesh pads progressively up to about 12,000 grit. Those things took out every scratch and every bit of oxidation off the metal parts and the guitar looks like it just came out of the factory. I also polished the frets and conditioned the fingerboard She plays beautifully and sounds great finished; that Caddy Green just doesn’t show up well in pics. It is super high gloss and stunning. I love the aged binding and inlays. I am a sucker for that script logo on the headstock.
