Dude (or should I say The Dude?), it doesn't look like anyone has given you the official wrist setting prioritization list. It is as follows;

1. For better Gretsch playing;

2. For use with any other guitar;

3. Golf, darts, bowling, billiards and beer (these are all on equal par because one usually leads to another).

4. For waving one's arms while yelling at officials in any sport called "Football".

That's it, there are no other important uses for the wrist that science can come up with as far as I know
