    Welcome,

regarding the serial numer information, this is NOT a 1952 model, but slightly younger:

    http://gretschpages.com/guitars/serial-numbers/#sequential

So it seems to be a model of 1958.

Furthermore I guess it's not an Anniversary model, because there's no Anniversary plate on the heastock, like in this photo: of a Double Anniversary of 1958:

Let's wait for the vintage Gretsch experts to drop in.

In the meantime, here's a photo of a 1952 Anniversary:

That guitar was sold on Reverb for 1700£, but as we can see, it's a different model than yours.

PS: Here's a photo of a 1958 Gretsch Corsair, that also has a 270xx serial number:

Looks exactly like yours, right? ;)

Cool guitar. '58 is more likely and there were no Annie's made in '52. I have a '57 Gretsch and its serial# is in the 26000's.

I found a '58 Corsair for 660€ on Reverb ... condition ok, but many scratches.

I'm new enough to Gretsch guitars that I wouldn't even try to add anything to this thread, other than to say . . . Welcome Patsy!

It's not mine ... I found this photo in a different forum. As I said above, depending on the condition it sells on Reverb for around 700$, so it's not one of the valuable vintage models.

PS: But I think, we clearly found out, that your guitar is a 1958 Gretsch Corsair.

It may not be worth a fortune but it is a nice guitar, anyway.
