This might be ego on my part, but I think it's that I know my limitations.

I still think this the best Ramones release ever.
When I was in 8th grade a buddy’s Father had this album. I made a tape and wore it out! I learned to play guitar to this, as well as their first three albums.
Now I’m lucky enough to own that very copy of it. It’s one of the most beloved records in my collection.

I think that was the 10th album I bought. I didn’t have a clear idea of what I liked yet so my musical taste was all over the place. Definitely good energy!

I'm of the same mind about pet peeves. But your secret weapon is... Leonardo DiCaprio? Tan suits? Drunk-uncle-at-wedding dancing?

I have been a fan of The Gun Club for a long time based on one song: "Ghost on the Highway". For some reason, I have never looked into their catalog to see what else I might like. Rectifying that today thanks to the fine folks here. On to the subject at hand...

    What's my favorite guitar?
American Original 60's Jazz Master. However, if I ever get my G5622T back from repair in working condition it will probably become the alpha dog. I like the Gretsch neck better and the TV Jones that I put in should be a lot of fun.
    What's my desert island album?
Zombie Ghost Train "Glad Rags and Body Bags" but there are so many strong choices out there.
What's my biggest guitar culture pet peeve?
Competition even among friends. It's a weird thing.
Which guitar hero of mine would surprise my friends?
Poison Ivy. Maybe they wouldn't be super surprised but I think they would guess several before they'd ever think of her.
    What's my secret weapon?
    Absolute refusal to quit.

Dude I love reading these replies. It gives me a good sense of reality as a player. Most times I'm impressed by what players choose all around and keeps me open minded.

Yeah, I couldn't put into words why I like to read this kind of thing, but...there you have it.

On your choice of Blow By Blow. When I first heard that, I had never heard any jazz fusion stuff, and it changed my perception as far as what was possible with the electric guitar. Great choice.
