lol. True. And it can still bug you. It's th only one so far that has a 'proper' explanation, which might explain its use. The rest ... not so much...

Here's one I've actually seen on this forum from time to time:

    "I'm not a good enough player to own a {insert guitar brand/model here}..."

That's just plain silly. If you are good enough to make three cowboy chords, and you have the money to spend, you can own any freakin' guitar you want. Don't sell yourself short because of your skill level. Spend as much as you want, within your personal budget and everybody else's opinion be damned.

If you just don't want to spend the money on an expensive guitar, don't blame it on your skills...just come clean and admit that you're cheap! There's no shame in that either!:D

This, and to add to that, 'Sale price is $5000.00 but trade value of $6000.00' how is trade value worth more?

@Gregor , I believe that Jeff67 may be 100% correct on where the term " ax " came from . I've often heard it came from Gene Simmons' guitar back when KISS was getting famous

'except if you're named Eugene and usually bump your guitar's head on every wall or door.

Agreed: Mojo or Rare always mean overpriced and often that you'll have to service that old damaged thing before you can actually play it.

I don't generally like the term..."relic'd guitar in mint condition" or similar.

Can we at least all agree on this??? When I was 18, I liked 18 year old hot girls. Now I'm 62, I STILL love 18 year old hot girls. They're like "buttah"....even though I'm "relic'd". o_O

This one drives me up the wall. Trade value is the same as what it sells for.
