supertron pick ups

well here my story i was going to purchase a country gent at sweet water music
i wanted to have a special order as i wanted the neck pickup to be the supertronic pick up.Gretsch came back with they cannot do it.well why do they only put this pick up on the single cutaway country gent but refuse to put it on the double cutaway.At the price of $2,300 seems odd.any thoughts on this.
