Straighter, longer Chet wire arm?

I put a Bigsby on a Gretsch archtop but, b/c of the shallow neck angle, needed to use a B3 for enough downward pressure on the bridge. The problem is that the Bigsby arm just reaches the bridge.

They make Bigsby arms that long enough, but they don't look that great to me. But a wire chet arm would be better looking, I think. And 9.5" (like the Bigsby arm) would be perfect. Something like this, only a little longer:

Any idea where I might find something like that arm?

    Thanks!

I know that such a thing exists, but I’m not aware of where one can be obtained. You could try Guitar Parts Dept, Darren Riley or Angela Instruments, as a starting point.

Thanks Synchro. Best that I can tell, the straight chet arm was an older reissue model that isn't made anymore.

But also learned that the first Chet arm was created when Chet just got a piece of 1/4 inch stainless steel rod and bent it the way he wanted it.

Probably the way to go here.

I would love one that's straighter and shorter. Probably the only way is to DIY it.

You could use a die to cut threads and even attach the knob.

Thanks Thunder-- that Dusenberg arm looks perfect-- would need to know if the width would fit the chet hinge. It looks to be 8"-- I think the guitar needs 10"

Thanks for that. The strange thing is that it isn't available in anything other than gold. I've been checking all over. Hopefully something will turn up!

Nothing a bit of polishing compound couldn’t handle.

It’s not just the angle of the arm in the picture?
