    Congrats!

Same here. Most of my amps are very Marshally and seem based around something JCM800 or Plexi-ish. I think the Origin will do well for you.

Tech 21 Trademark 60, 1x12 60W......I love it. My 30W Tech 21 is a good also but doesn't deliver "the tone" like the 60W.

Those are the only 2 I own but have to admit my favorite is the Mesa Boogie Lonestar and am very intrigued with the Orange TremLord 30.

The Tech 21 Trademark is an underrated amp. A lot of good sounds there.

That's a seriously impressive story and it looks like an awesome place to record music. The other outboard gear catches my geeky eye too. My wife and I have a little project studio in our attic and I've built my own bass traps but the room is what it is. Thankfully, it's an A frame space that keeps the parallel lines down and we make it work for our sound. Recently ripped up the nasty carpet with plans to refinish the Douglas Fir floor in the near future. But since this thread was about amps for our Gretsch's, I don't want to hi-jack it too much and maybe we can geek out elsewhere on the matter.

But thanks for showing more pics and the back story. So cool!

How's that modded Blues Jr. sound? I've got zero modding skills but would love to know more about that.

Yesterday, I ordered the Marshall Origin 50w head and Origin 2x12 cab from separate outlets (based on who had them in stock). I was amazed when the cab arrived this morning! Great service from Gear4music.

Unfortunately still waiting on the head, so in the meantime I have been blasting the cab with my Joyo BlueJay. Not tried either the Fender Bassbreaker 007 Or the Mooer Little Monster AC through it yet but I love mixing and matching amps and cabs.

treat this as a NCD post.

Yamaha THR10ii. Only about 20 watts but I'm a bedroom player and I just need/want something quiet with nice tones

It sounds great! There is web site devoted to modding Jrs (I forget the name at present but a quick search should find it) but that stuff is beyond me. A very talented guy in London Ontario did the work. That amp can fill a room packed with 500 people with plenty of sound.

Hits all the marks for the simple, single ended thing we were talking about in the tubes thread for me great. Actually ran into one of the 6L6 versions of these last weekend but opted not to plug into it for fear it would follow me home too :)

I like it alot. It competes very favorably w/ the smaller boutique ones I've had or played for me.
