Ok so I got my Dearmond guitar. And it came with a used Fender dreadnaught acoustic case. It is trans purple. And has a nasty ding in the side of it. It was used. And the control knobs have been changed. It has a unique switch. The switch goes diagonal instead of the up and down movement. Class if you ask me. Pickguard is nasty and will be taken off. And they are no replacements.

It needs new strings and a good cleaning. And I want new gold plated humbucker rings for it. Which ones do you suggest I get? It is not really heavy at all. I really like my guitar. Here is the example pictures. My camera did not take any good pictures at all.

Great looking guitar! What are the pickups and neck profile?

USA made DeArmond s and pots. They were made in Korea and sent to America. And had the pots and pickups installed. Then they checked the guitar for any defects and fixed the issues. Like PRS does with ever import guitar and G&L also. Mine is used. I have no idea when it was made? And I have no Idea on the neck profile. I just no I like it.

Oh, wow! I always wanted one of those babies... is it chambered or solid body?
    Nice, nice color.

I do not know? It is not heavy though. My Italia is wood with a fiberglass finish. And it is so heavy. This is light single cut compared to my Italia. Like a LP to me.

I guess that the M75 model may be chambered, as opposite as the M66 that's solid body, but I'm not a Guild expert...
I just gave a look on some italian aftermarket website and I found one same as yours. And in black, my favorite color!
Darn you got me gassing... :)

Man this thing is a beauty, gonna put a silver or white pickguard or keep it black? I really like the purple color of it

  13. Love the look. You can be in a Prince cover band now. I like the Guild "Bluebird" look.

@Roy Clark you've done it to me again! You hooked me with the picks of your silvertone 1423 and I had to get one, now this, ha!

Well, my first was a green 12-string M-73-12 plank whose DeArmond pickups caught my eye because they looked like the pickups I liked on my Gretsch Historic Series. Then I had to get the matching green 6-string M-73 with Gold Tone pickups. Then followed an M-72, M-75 (x2), M-75T (x2), Starfire Special, Starfire Custom, Starfire Bass, T400, and a pair of X-155 jazz boxes. I believe I'm at peak DeArmond now, but whenever I see a purple one I think, "I need just one more."

    I’m definitely in a hunt.
I found a M66 in orange (no kidding) for cheap about 60 km from my home.
I promised myself that before to buy something new I would have found me a new band to play with, but it’s hard to resist…:)
