So I was a lucky one who bought one of Setzer's guitars on Reverb!

I would like to see close up shots of this particular guitar of brian's next to a production 2020 green sparkle hotrod. I have my reservations that they were able to capture the exact metal flake paint job, as a flake shooter. Several factors go into how the finish looks under direct light from the quality of the flake (cheaper flake doesnt have matching metallic finish), the size of the flake, or is it mixed size flake. The base coat under the candy base coat (was it a metallic gold, was it a metallic silver, etc).
So... if you get a chance to take your guitar into a store and snap some pics of the variances, I'll give you a nice discount on a nocturne brain preamp haha! :)

    for example:
lime candy over gold metallic w roth monster flake:

before candy and flake, it was just a gold metallic paint
    [IMG]

    and after:

Green flake over black sparkle paint:

And then here is Roth Warm Beer Gold monster flake over a gold metallic base
    [IMG]

then that same flake job covered in lime candy (clear lime)

Lol I may have not used that 'too' very well, I wan't lucky enough to get anything, I would have loved the all white hot rod but was way too late and a bit out of my price range (admittedly not much though as I thought it was reasonably priced).

A beautiful guitar, and its having been previously in the possession of Brian Setzer gives is quite the cache. Enjoy playing it!

@TV the Wired Turtle those are great looking and I think I'm definitely going to need to buy a pedal from you (I'm not thrilled with my current slapback). Funny thing about your post about flake is I have a jar of Lil Daddy Roth Lime Squeezer sitting right here I bought for an upcoming project. I know some folks have switched over to Paint Huffer but damn I like the sparkle of the Roth flake.

    Congrats @Psychoholic !
Another one went to another great home: TV Jones himself bought a guitar, "Spotty" (I think he painted it himself?). I'm very happy about this, he seems to have a very personal Connection to this guitar.

Great looking Hot Rod There!! I bought one of the Gretsch Spectra Sonic Baritone models from the sale, I loved him playing Mystery Train on the Live in Japan DVD on that one!! I also own a 58 Duo Jet that also Belonged to Mr. Setzer for 26 years. Both these two Gretsch's are the pride of my collection now!! They both sound awesome too.

That is an awesome guitar on it's own, but coming direct from Brian Setzer's collection? Amazing! Congrats, enjoy it for a very long time.

    Very nice!!

Also, Dimebag, Gilmour and Setzer? That’s quite the eclectic Top 3 you’ve got there!!
