Built this few years back
Decided to do a couple of modifications.
Unfortunately the hole I filled has cracked wood so I wasn't able to get all the paint out. The guitar is a mess from the last owner. But, I'm gonna attempt to put a layer of Veneer on it so it's got the nice natural maple look and not ply wood. It's missing the top ply of maple anyways....

2015 6129T-62 One of 16 special factory run for Cream City Music. Beautiful pays like a dream love the thin fast neck like my Hagstroms a keeper.
DCM, with silver pickgard and Bezels...
This is the sleeper in the pack, the undiscovered gem of Jets. The Filtertron/tone knob combo is quite unusual for Gretsch. almost impossible to accurately capture this beautiful color in photos.
Haha, oh the timing of it all.
Perfect time to post the G6128T-DCM that raderiohead here sold to me this past month! Joining the few and the proud who have come to possess an amazing bubbly-wine-finished Jet...Granted, I had to sell both my Pre-FMIC G6128T and a CIJ Jazzmaster enough to justify the purchase, but very much worth it.
I can't stop raving about this thing, for being so refined and nicely deviating from the traditional features ...elbow jab at John Hall, snickersnicker.
The Schaller straplocks threw me off (in kinda a good way though), but what I didn't expect (this being my first post-FMIC-acquisition Jet) was how thin the top was, the hefty neck, output jack cup, pinned bridge, and really nicely balanced weight! Last week I tracked some overdriven tones on the audio for some VR content my company is doing for one of our themepark rides, and man the AlNiCo filtertrons cut through the mix like mad...Jangle City meets the perfect crunch
Man, I love the look of the silver bezels and pickguard.
Beautiful acquisition. Congretschulations!
So that's who ended up with it! I was sorely tempted, even though I have one of my own. I absolutely love my DCM. It's pictured in an earlier post in this thread, but here it is again anyway.
Aye, both raderiohead and I were so quiet about things when the transaction happened, and I was simply to busy to post the news after it safely arrived here in the Republic. And I can totally understand why one might be tempted to have another, it's such a remarkably charming Jet both visually and play-ability-wise.
I still can only shake my head, that Gretsch discontinued the DCM, one of the best Jets ever built.
Congrats Ando, those DCM Jets are pretty cool!
And the cat approves!
The DCM been giving me painful GAS since Audept showed me his a month or so back (I'll go and grab something from the chemist, don't fret).
The pinned bridge is exciting and jangle is my thaaaannng.
Gotta sell my world to get on this one too. Audept has ruined my life

And a further victim of the Gretsch virus
Four paws up so far. Monji (that gray furry blob at the top) hasn't quite formed an opinion just yet.
No, they want you to open the case
Haha..in that case (oops!) I'll get back to you tomorrow and let you know what she thinks.
You have already proven with photos, that both cats love to sit in that case ... maybe it's the nice vanilla smell, they like so much
