Not a great pic of the headstock...it matches the body. The pickups are TV Jones Classics. 20151021_202755.jpg

I almost bought this double jet but it was gone when I went back with the money. I've been looking for another ever since.

I don't know why either. I bought it on Reverb.com and it took me awhile to pull the trigger because I had never seen one in person and because I didn't have all the funds. The seller graciously accepted my best offer. Now that I've played it and seen how great it looks, I realize I'm lucky it didn't get away from me. If I had actually seen it and played it, I would not have hesitated a bit.

This is my latest Gretsch. A replica of Malcolm's backup Jet in 1978/79.I had a TV Jones Classic Plus installed.Sounds amazing.I had a zero glide fret nut system put on it as well. IMG_0836.JPG IMG_0835.JPG

I wish the metallic red DCM would still be available ... for me it's the perfect Jet.

Not mine (was or is Crooner's), but it's the double cutaway Duo Jet that I would pick. A '61, the only year with double cutaways but the old pre-Burns chrome hardware and fixed tailpiece.

Thank you sir! Made the white arrow from scratch.Still undecided with what gauge strings as I want to use lighter ones.playing stuff like ACDC's Riff Raff & Baby please don't Go as they both have a lot of single bend/pull off notes as opposed to the Chord riffs, is hell of a lot easier!

thanks for your comment!I toyed with going with no toggles but I wanted it to be as Mal's back up was back in 78/9, when there were the 3 toggles on the guitar.

I got a custom built Malcolm Young Copy! Which I'm thinking of possibly selling. Then my Gold Sparkle Double Jet with a HS Filtertron and a TV Classic Plus which I'm also thinking of selling.
image.jpeg Here's my 62 Duo jet with a few things done to it. That input jack is gonna move back to its rightful spot haha.
