True but I actually preferred his work for Audioslave.
They made 3 ripper hard rock albums with Tom Morello and other RATM guys.
This was a better vehicle for Cornell's huge voice imo :)

Powerhouse singing on "Like a Stone" and watch out for Morello's amazing guitar solo 3 mins in

Saw them on the Louder Than Love Tour at Deep Ellum club in Dallas '89 I think. Their peak IMHO. Sounds dripping Sabbath. Cornell at one point late in show was stepping from monitor to monitor at front of stage and fell off stage busted his ass. Climbed back up onstage, right back at it. Girlfriend at the time was crazy about him. They were great. RIP.

Goes to show none of us are immune from the Black Dog. I have to deal with suicide aftermath regularly in my job. All I can say is if you feel it is the answer PLEASE TALK TO SOMEONE. Even a stranger. It is NEVER the best option - you might not be able to see it at the time, but later you will.

And I'll add for what it's worth, any of you can talk to me any time. My PM box is always open, and I'm not judgemental.

When I was going to the P.D. in Animal Control 25 years ago , I was working at another Police Dept . at the time as a dispatcher . Ptl. George L. came up to me and said , " You're going to Orangetown as an Animal Control Officer ? I said , yea . George said to me ( and I never forgot it ) " I don't care if you're running the biggest metropolis in the world or if you're an Animal Control Officer , it's not an easy job anywhere " . Great advice Sgt. ( his rank now )...
....as we say in the States Rob ..... stay safe

Yea, saw it yesterday, very sad. It seems downright uncommon at 52. Great talent we will miss.

Nope, he hung himself. That is the losers way out. Sad for the fans, but not really, suicide is never the answer no matter what, there is always an alternative means of getting through life. I know.

Not sad? Loser's way out? Be careful - to you maybe there are alternative ways, but to the person who does it, there seems to be no other way. It's also not nice to call it the "loser's way out" or a coward's way or whatever because it's not about that at all. My son did this and trust me - what you're saying here comes across as very insensitive. You have no idea.
