Inquiring for someone on another forum.
Sweetwater describes the Rat Rod neck as “chunky u-shaped”.

This doesn’t seem accurate based on my Gretsch experience, but I’ve never played one.
You guys that have, would appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks.

I have no experience with it I'm afraid.

Last months Guitarist Magazine review described it as a Slim U.

    Confusing eh..

Not seeing the 'chunky U' description, says "standard U" under specs. I wouldn't expect it to be chunky at all, just a comfortable U-shoulder shape.

I'm curious from people like @TSims1 who played a lot of Electros.

The Gretsch website says standard u, just like it does on every other model I looked at.
    It’s Sweetwater calling it a chunky u.
I told the guy it’s probably like most every other late model Gretsch neck, more or less, but that I would ask on here since some of us have bought one.

Some smaller sellers/brick n mortar places will measure for you. I've asked before for just that.

I'm so happy with all my Electro as is it won't be a deal breaker for me if it's G5622T thin :)

I can say it’s chunkier than a Proline. For sure. Fat? No. Comfortable? YES. My personal Rat Rod is very resonant as well. Resonant and very “woody” sounding......just a way cool ride. Mods or no. Mine is definitely MODDED. Lol

My 5410T Rat Rod is slightly chunkier than my 6120BS Chet Atkins and my 6196T-59 VS '59 Country Club. It is slightly less fuller than my 6128T-53 VS '53 Duo Jet. The chunkiest Gretsch neck is my FSR 5135 CVT Electromatic - love that chunky little beastie.
