I just heard that Meatloaf ( Michael Lee Aday ) passed away yesterday at 74 yrs young . His family was by his side and had a chance to say their goodbyes .
R.I.P. Meatloaf and thank you for one of the greatest albums of all time .
I enjoyed that movie a lot, and own a copy. I’ve seen interviews with Meatloaf and he came across well. In spite of his public image, he seemed humble and even a bit self-effacing.He starred in the movie, "Roadie".
We also lost comic Louie Anderson, aged 68.
Cool story too as they recorded the album in an old house that he swears was haunted. I forget where I saw this but it was some documentary the past 10 years. It might've actually have been on a show where the psychic/empath works works with celebrities to make sense of hauntings they experienced that they never quite forgot or still bothers them.I didn't know that Todd Rundgren produced this LP.

I get the feeling that Meatloaf was adept at spinning some tall tales. He was interesting and entertaining, but I wouldn’t take everything he said at face value.Cool story too as they recorded the album in an old house that he swears was haunted. They got this new thing now, called cassettes. You should consider upgrading.Gone to soon and may he rest in peace. I have the "Bat Out Of Hell" album on 8-track tape.
He coached a ( daughter ) girls softball team in Connecticut not too far from me . Small town out of the way as he did not want all the publicity . just wanted a piece of Small Town U.S.A. for his familyIn spite of his public image, he seemed humble
