This one hurts. Sad to see a true Texas legend slip away. Prayers for all the Tres Hombres.

There are more than a few ZZ Top songs about brothels.

Painful loss. I've still got their 'Greatest Hits' on a CD in the roadster.

So sad. An Icon gone. We don't live forever, but didn't see this one coming. Seen them live severall times from the mid '90ies into 2003. Last one was in a restored Roman Amphi theater in Germany. Totally awsome. One of my best concerts ever. With the "Rough Boy" solo echoing back from the back tribune (even the memory gives me goose bumps) An Icon on Bass with his deceptively simple looking, but brilliant driving bass lines. Check "arrested for driving while blind" a gorgious bass line which gave so much fun not only listening to it but playing it locked in with a tight drummer as well. Can't thank you enough Dusty. R.I.P.

For every day I get older, more of my childhood goes away....although inevitable, still sad. R.I.P.

I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard ZZ Top .....St. Louis, senior in high school, riding with my buddy in his Camero, 1970, single release, "Somebody's been shakin' your tree" . The only other song that registered like that was the 'Stones, Satisfaction when I was 12 years old. I have no explanation for this response. I love ZZ Top. I consider Tres Hombres to be one of the greatest rock albums of all times. Top 10 all time, maybe top 5. ICONIC. Rest in peace Dusty, you rocked the world. Billy and Sam.....RESPECT!
