Sounding great and loving them BT65A’s. You can buy the pickup, can’t buy the skill.

Enjoy the 5220, they’re great and a bargain to be honest.

Btw, the street price for the painted top 6228 is $2199 which is still expensive. I’ve seen an occasional used one sell for $1400 on Reverb. Nothing I could afford until I was around 30 years of age. But used always makes it more obtainable at some point. I’ll say it is well worth the used price for those who can afford it. The feel of the neck heel, sound and everything is fantastic. But in reality a more expensive guitar doesn’t make someone a better player, only poorer. (Edited: poorer as in less $$$ )

I’m also going to quote Fugazi “You are not what you own.” And change it to: You are not what you play. So keep loving that 5220. :)

You’ve worked hard. You deserve good things.
Spanish......it’s crazy, I know only enough to order food......my 7yr old daughter speaks so much better than I do. What the heck......thank you private school.

I just listened to the demo.

    well done, Tony.

That Bridge position really pops and that neck position sure can sound sweet. The middle is, well, like most things in the middle, just ok. That is also what my 6228 tells me.

The middle position I do use occasionally, that “woman tone” the way JB demoed on his Les Paul. The tone rolled way back, the neck volume way up and the bridge volume way down ....Kinda Jazzy.

It is a beautiful guitar, thanks for posting,

Wow great playing! That guitar is awesome! Love that color. Bourbon stain I think? I wish there were a 6120 in that color

Great playing! I love my 5220 with mods that included BT65 Broad’tron pickups but I’m drawn to your guitar like a moth to a flame!

Did anybody already told you that your right profile sometimes looks like Paul McCartney?

Thanks for sharing brother! Great playin‘ as always and those pickups sound very nice and- yes, Ricochet!- very Tronny but with more pronounced mids if I‘m right. A Duo Jet is on my list too but preferably the vintage version with De (or T-) Armonds.
