Several I'd like to have there, including that Inverness Green Epi ES-335.

I stopped by my local GC a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in inventory from what it was during the height (depths?) of the pandemic. Lots of Streamliners, Squiers, and Epi’s at lower levels on the wall, while the 5420’s and up were fewer in number and out of reach on the top row.

(Edited to add that sale prices in the Streamliner section we’re VERY attractive!!)

(Second edit: I’ve NEVER seen a Proline Gretsch in this store (Bakersfield CA)

Nice! Looking forward to your NGD post. I'm a sucker for blue guitars, and that Midnight Sapphire finish is just so beautiful.

Do you normally play 25.5"? I've got small hands, so I'm happy with my 24.6" Gretsches. I think a Fender would take some getting used to.

25.5 or 30. i tend towards detuned or baritone tunings.

i’ve got an epi sheraton that sits around unused, even though it’s a great guitar (peerless factory), because i dislike the scale. but i’ll play this new 5427 until i get used to it.

Rats, I checked both acoustic guitars and Fender guitars and almost all the prices were their normal everyday prices

I would agree, a lot more inventory. But, there's very little pro line gear period, from any brand.

The GCs next to me have really kicked it up a notch. One was a lower level store and now has tons of Gibson Historic, PRS, Fender Custom, etc… models.
