Somebody already said it but yeah, WOW!!
I also own some of the ugliest guitars as well. The worst is a 1930s Sears/Harmony flattop with an ugly sunburst and a bilious gold sparkle pickguard. It's got an horribly fractured top from having survived a car accident. Car was totaled, guitar and my Father-in-law survived. He said that accident convinced him to stop drinking.
Thats a 2001 American Deluxe Powerbridge Tele. Only made between late 98 and 2001. Stereo output, active piezo fishman bridge and mini toggle to engage magnetic, piezo or both pickup types. The tortoiseshell binding is so beautiful.
I love Ricks for sure. They have their own look and sound and what's not to love about that?
I've never owned a Rick, but I got to play this one at a show a couple of years ago. A friend and former bandmate died of a heart attack with it on his hands (opening for Blue Oyster Cult). It hung in tribute in our band's practice space for years. I brought it out of storage for a special show. It was glorious.
My Custom H-59 Harmony Rockets
have the looks for me!
Obviously my only Gretsch (G6119),
but my old Aria Pro II should not feel ashamed
Your Aria looks very similar to a Gretsch Committee or BST from the same period. While the late 70s Gretsch guitars were supposedly made in the US, there's some thoughts they were really imported.
I picked this up 2 weeks ago - But I fell in love with it 16 years ago. 03' 6119 Black Guard Special...
Heck I cant choose... maybe my Schecter TSH-1...?
I think most of my guitars are really beautiful.
I think perhaps this is the prettiest guitar anyone has ever owned.
This is my "Magophonic" Signature Model Strat. It's a partscaster with a maple burl pickguard. It was assembled and set up by Doobie Brothers guitar tech Joe Vallee.
'97 Rickenbacke 360-12, signed by Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane)
2003 Gibson Les Paul Historic '56 with a quilt top. Next to it is "Emmylou" my '66 Epiphone Riviera. I had the original tailpiece replaced. Holds tune better and no change in sound.
I'll have to dig around for a picture of my Gretsch 6120.
A secondary contender, my 6120JR2/BS:
My 1976 Mod'ed Super Chet or is it My 1989 Mod'ed Gibson Chet Adkins Country Gent
Is the stool also part of the contest?
Maybe the air conditioner?
That's sharp ! Year / model ?
I guess I don’t really have any beauty contestants but the Bass VI was an amazing strike of lightning in that every major mod I would have done was already done and it was a local sale in my neighborhood. I might throw some white witch hats on her and call it done.
The Gil Yaron is the only guitar I totally regret selling. Impossible to buy one like this now. It was as close as I’ll likely ever get to owning a vintage Strat.
