There's another thread on this somewhere in past but I lost it....

Anyways - I love animals and I got a new puppy yesterday.
I'd been minding another Jack Russel named Sprout for 18 months while a friend was overseas. She returned 2 months ago so I returned him to her.

I was in the market for a new dog and initally wanted to save one from a shelter.
But 1 good thing about Covid is that it's greatly increased dog ownership in Australia. So there are no rescue dogs left to save in my State anymore.

So I did my research, decided on a Labradoodle puppy and got "Rocky" yesterday.
He's 8 weeks old, very calm and gentle and appears to be almost fully potty trained already. Within 4 hours he was following me around everywhere and today he's my shadow :D

Meet Rocky... he's had a big day for an 8 week old - he went to the beach, shopping for a new collar, playing fun games and some start up training with his Dad. He's already coming when his name is called.

I love seeing animal/pet pics so please post your best friend.
If you've got info about your pet, what they like doing, any special talents, interesting stories, training and/or health tips please share.

One reason why I got a Labradoodle is they're water dogs - so Rocky might learn how to surf one day

I will have to work on it a bit. I'm up to 8 cats. The newest, the one I found with gang green, heard me get on the phone and came running. I heard her running so while talking to my boss I switched the camera on. She jumped up on a stool and started up my chest. Apparently, she just wanted a kiss, a nap, and my bag of chips! I got the best lucky picture ever. Here are three of the 8. Peanut the little house tiger, Boots Mr. High Society in his tux, and Binks the Black Jaguar. Rocky is adorable! And @Bertotti, your cats are gorgeous.

We have two rag dolls who fill our house with joy and occasionally barf on the floor. Here's Bentley:

And here's Joey, a.k.a. José Meowtista, a.k.a. Joey Cats. He joined our family not long after José Bautista's legendary bat flip, and being Blue Jays fans, there really wasn't anything else we could have named him.

That's not an action shot, BTW. He just lies around like that. When he strikes this pose, we like to turn on the fan to watch his fur blow luxuriously in the wind like he's in an 80s music video, and then we blast "Careless Whisper" (or "Careless Whisker," if you prefer). It's highly entertaining.

Here are four more. The last one is sleeping with my daughter so I will wait until tomorrow to get her picture.
This is patches the old lady somewhere around 20 years old. She came to the door with Boots one day and I said you want to come on? She meowed walked ina NdT never left! Terrible case of worms then all better now. And Baxter tue moo cow he bugs me a bit because he always has to be licking on you and I hate that! Also Cherry she had her side scrapped off. I think someone threw her form a moving car, and last Velvet the little black Panther. He and Cherry are isolated from the rest because they have feline AIDS. He decided to fight a possum one day. He got his butt kicked if he did t there wasn’t a winner because e was tore up! 80074595-77AD-4814-89F9-0ABFBA38091B.jpeg 8E17720D-4FB7-4C34-A561-586D42798CD0.jpeg E3F36C30-9C74-40BD-AFEE-684C16B10C5C.jpeg 279E8A49-8DEE-4CD1-AC2F-84F454F53A57.jpeg That was a healthy vet bill.

You got it!

Cleopatra: I wanted to name her Liz Taylor, but my girlfriend wasn’t agreeable. We compromised by naming her after one of Liz’s most famous roles.

Squeaky 2: Squeaky was my favorite pet and she died so when we got another black cat we named her Squeaky 2. The sequel is never as great as the original, but she has good qualities.

Scott: He came to us with that name. I added Sawyer because of Tom Sawyer, then DMX after the rapper when he died, and then Django cuz last time I watched the movie Django (1966) he sat on my lap the whole time without moving once. We mostly just call him Scott or Fat orange Cat.

My house is very big, I did a lot of work myself to afford it. It is amazing how affordable it was when I did half or more of all the work myself. Around 5500sqft so they have their own areas. It wasn’t originally that big but I eliminated a garage and made it living space and the up stairs was to be unfinished attic but for an extra 10k in roof trusses I got and extra 1348 sqft! You can’t build a house that size for that little! And there is a full basement under it. So I optimized every square inch of building space. If you wander around and seriously look at house layouts it is amazing how much space is wasted on areas you really can’t do anything with. But we have just about hit max people and pet occupancy.
