8268196B-1BA5-42F6-BDC4-41F8CEE58289.jpeg I bought my first Gretsch a couple months ago. It is a fantastic guitar! I had my dad lay some freehand pinstripes on it. Not bad for 74 years old (dad not guitar).

Get out! That's really nice. Rat Rods just seem to be made for this.

    You Dad's very talented.

    I'll just bet there's a chopped 29 Model A, with a 392 hemi in his garage.

Don't be too surprised if you start getting some requests.

That guitar is now truly yours.

No hot rods in his garage. Just a Ram 1500. He has been self-employed for over 40 years now. He was my high school art teachers art teacher. Does everything from pinstripes to billboards. Chances are very good, if you see a pinstriped hot rod or a sign in northern Illinois it’s probably his work.

Very elegant, dad needs to do more guitars
I love how it strays away from the traditional hot rod style

I gave it to him and let his creativity roll. I just told him to use the colors of the guitar.

Looks fantastic! I really like how pinstriping can personalize a guitar. Dad did a great job!

It looks super cool. I really dig his striping and his original flow of the design. Enjoy rockin’ it!

Very cool, I am always in awe of people who can paint or anything like that, my stickmen don't even look right.
Your dad is very talented and to do all that free hand is pretty amazing.

The striping is flawless and I absolutely love the design! As we talked about in the other striping thread recently, there seems to be a common style that many painters copy and it is fantastic to see something so original. Thanks for sharing, I'm collecting ideas before I get mine done.
