I have been looking for a leather saddle type bag for guitar on and off.
Saw a few I liked particularly from Whipping Post and Harvest but good Lord, the prices on these things put me off fast.
Contemplated getting a Whipping post knockoff. Still 300 bucks!

I just found these. Basicly the same idea. Made by X-tone in France. About 200 bucks shipped from France.
They're also being sold on Reverb with ridiculous shipping prices.[IMG]

Tavo, I had them ship to the Netherlands. I assume since they're on Reverb they will ship to the US?
Shipping from the French dealer was $15 bucks, on Reverb(same dealer) it was $50!

If you're looking for a Eurpean post address or something let me know. Might be a bit unpractical with my prolonged stay on the Island, but it can be arranged.

Uh ! All Right, we are we still able to make something in France - that can be sold in USA... Amazing ! When you will have it, please search for a "made in France" tag and let me know : I'm interested.

Well, my guitar straps are French-made artisanally by Patrick Blésès and his daughter :

Patrick - a very kind man - was the foreman of the luxury-grade shoemaker Charles Jourdan, which closed its doors some years ago like so many French companies. His products are premium-quality grade, like the shoes he used to make. The price is very reasonable : 40 Euros for a strap like the ones pictured above.

    A+!

    That looks nice enough.

While I do believe X-tone is a French company, I highly doubt they are able to produce this for the price they do...Maybe imported from Turkey?

Since I can not find a website I suspect it's a housebrand for a French music shop. Not sure which one though.

Btw. Are you or other Frenchie familiar with Euroguitar.com.
I ordered the strap, paid, but haven't received a confirmation mail yet?

Ricochet, I did a search on fr.euroguitar.com and found your bag :

    http://fr.euroguitar.com/accessoire...leather-electric-guitar-bag-tabac/303837.html

Euroguitar is a French importer and online shop, and X-tone is a generic name for miscellanous products made anywhere.

I worked with Euroguitar one time or two, and nos issue, the items (ULTIMATE guitar stands) came in time. Sorry, I do not remember the details of tracking because it was a long time ago. Email them for an inquiry with your order N° if you really have no info (also check your spam box, who knows ?).

    A+!

It's really nice and worth every penny but I would need a second bag in case I had to go out in the rain..leather+rain=bad.

Looks classy. Congrats, Rich. Lots of space to store all those little strings-and-things-stuff.

Nothing protects like a hard shell case, tho. As long as it's going to be transported safely in your car, leather shouldn't be a problem. If it's going to be handled by anyone other than yourself, go hardshell.
