I know that p-rails are ment to emulate a single coil, p-90 and humbucker.
I’m just wondering if there is anything you can do to them to get a more filtertron tone, maybe with a blender pot?

I love Seymour Duncan pickups but somehow these never held much appeal to me. You know the saying a “Jack of all trades, Master of none”.

The only pickup with a full HB footprint that claims to mimic a Filtertron is the DiMarzio Eric Johnson signature.

I have a set of those in the Warmoth Starcaster that Eman put together for me. They are brighter than the average hum bucker.

ahh they're just low output humbuckers is all.
And like most humbuckers made now you can split coil them :)

Just buy some filtertrons for less than what the SDs cost.

I have a P-Rail. Good pickup. P90 and humbucker modes particularly (both humbucker modes sound the same pretty much).

I have an early set of P-Rails. I bought them as a multi-bladed tool.

They're sitting on my shelf... Have been for a number of years.

I don't think they sounded anything like Filters. Not sure if there was any way to make them sound like Filters, either. Filters have a certain mid-presence (maybe an upper mid-presence?) that other dual coil pickups don't usually have.
