I've been keeping an eye on these. Then this showed up on CL. G3155 Historic Series. The owner turned out to be a nice guy, he thinks it 1999. Who ever wrote the serial number had terrible had writing, have to try to decode that one...

Being a 20+ year old instrument, the only wear I can find is scratches on the pick guard. The previous owner said it mainly lived in the case, must have been the same with the previous owner(s). Even the gold is just slightly lost its shine.

Sounds great to my years and thankfully the neck feels really good to my damaged left wrist. He asked for $550 with the Gretsch case included which I think was very fair price. Worth the 2 hour drive each way. That's my black Friday purchase:).

Thought to take few better pictures. I really like this one, even if it's not so desirable. Bit annoying that the serial number is scribbled so badly. What is that second character supposed to be? Tiny circle = zero? Reverb has one with blurry picture and that looks like '9#' which can't be right so I guess it's common to have bad scribbles. The first character looks like 9 so I guess it's indeed 1999.

I’ve always liked these Historic Cat eyes. As annoying as it is to read, keep in mind the serial number was written by Korean hands. Sweet guitar none the less, enjoy!

It actually looks like Korean. I have a Korean friend and sometimes he Line messages me in Korean which then translates it into English :).
