    Man, I was so close....

Somone posted this guitar out of the blue on a local Facebook Musicians' Gear sale page. I had never seen the color before, and I thought I had a straight trade worked out for it, but someone swooped in with a cash offer! Doh! I already had visions of some TV Jones' T-90s, a stainless Compton, and a Bigsby upgrade to make this a sweet Gretsch faux ES-295 a la Scotty Moore. Oh well....maybe next time.....

yeah, and this guy was really needing cash anyway, so he got what he needed, which is good. It did help me make up my mind though that I will probably go on and sell my mim tele and mim strat. I just don't play em....I can get 95% of the tone I'm wanting out of my 2 6120s, and the MIM's have just sat.

There's always one that gets away from you. Mine was a Ric 12 for really cheap money. I was getting married soon, I was in college, and just couldn't justify the expense at the time.

The other one was a ten year old Jaguar XK-150 for $400. I was a couple of weeks from going into the USAF and, again, couldn't justify spending the money. Had I but known.....
