The other thread asking how many guitars I've got made me realise I have thirteen which is a well known unlucky number so I've decided to buy one more as a final buy.
In the thirteen two are Gretschs. An Airline Silver G5230t and my new Walnut Stain G2622.
I've set myself a budget of around $1200 Australian dollars or about $800 USD and am prepared to wait for the right one to be available as most shops have low stock at present.
I'm after something new definitely without a tension bar Bigsby.
    Any suggestions?

I've got three Squier Teles. A 50s CV a CV 70s Thinline and a Bullet that has various upgrades.
Also have Three Strats. A Fender Player Squier Standard and Squier Bullet.
But another Tele might not be out of the question if it's the right one.

I just bought a Gibson SG Tribute and it just screams the 1970's
It's the one in the photo in the other thread

Along with a Tele, everyone should have a beater acoustic.

  7. I’m selling a 1970’2 MSA Classic pedal steel guitar. That does not have a bigsby at all.

I was influenced by videos that say every player should own the "big 4," Strat, LP, Tele and ES335. Each has it's unique sound.

You've been around these long enough you should have a good idea of what you want.
A beater or a showpiece?? Cheap or expensive??

I've got the big 4 and an SG and 12-string, I've been watching for a good price on a Gretsch Double Jet.
Fender is good for making different, sometimes strange combinations of parts. I've got a Pawn Shop '51 I love.
Take a look at their Altered Reality series.
Then maybe a shredder, a Schecter or Alvarez or Ibanez or Jackson, etc.

Just something different from what you own now.

I'd hang on to the money and watch for something really special. No impulse buys.

I don't think everyone needs one, but those who want one certainly should have one.

Not sure if the G5420T is selling for within your budget in your area.

Gotta be a new electric. Really leaning towards a G5420t but not really in a hurry so might give myself a bit of time and to get it right.

  18. Hmmm, spewing you don't want the Bigsby, the G5410t in that matt black Rat rod version looks sick!
