It’s a sad day when you realise that you just aren't getting on with your guitar. For the last few months my 6228 has been baiting me. I really wanted to love it, but we just weren’t jelling.

so off to the guitar shop and goodbye to the Jet (and a bunch more cash) and hello Broadkaster jr
This thing sounds fantastic, and the fretboard just plays incredibly smoothly! It’s just awesome sauce!

I do love that blue on a guitar. If they’d had one in stock I might have gone for it (might, and if I could have justified the extra cash!) In the end, I decided it is possible to have too much gold hardware though!

I get it. I have done the same over the last two years as I culled my herd.

Your new guitar is beautiful. Congratulations

Congratulations. Since I fell in love with the new 6119 Rosewood Tenny and have a one in and one out policy my Broadkaster Jr. unfortunately had to go. I miss it but love my Tenny a smidgen more.

I have a blue G5422GT (as seen in avatar)....fixed bridge....my only Gretsch....got 5422 plus cash for G6120DSW that just couldn't bond with....I like the 5422 a lot more....but lately messing around more with my Tele b bender....and I have a Epiphone Swingster Emperor that gives me all the Gretsch like sound I need....so might eventually sell 5422
