One of my oldest remaining toys. I imagine it was around 72 when I got this in Florida or California. I suspect Sea World in Florida.

Many times in under ten seconds.

Three Speed Shifter off my dad's old bicycle. I used it on a modern (80s) road bike I turned into a commuter about 15 years ago. Sold that frame (Fuji RS1) and kept the shifter incase I do another retro rat rod build.

I always wanted to start a rockabilly band called Sturmey and the Archers but don't want to get sued for copyright infringement... Sunrace Bicycle Parts owns the Sturmey Archer name, logo, etc.

To many things, most live in my garage workshop

grandpa’s hammer and his hand operated barber clippers. He was a barber in the Black hills

my knife I won at the county fair when I was 12

my dads vernier calipers from his machine shop

My high school championship wrestling medal

My brothers sax he played in high school

The cheesy plastic perfume heart that was the first present I ever bought my mother on my own, I was 8 yrs old. I found it in her jewerly box 25 years later when she passed away

The Campy Super Record high flange hubs from my sew rims that I raced Roads and Crits on.

Countless other little things, I’m a sentimental old guy who lost to many to young.

Only one pic.
The silly green heart shaped perfume container I bought mom, it comes out at Christmas and hangs on my brothers sax, lost them both 40 or so years ago.

I have a couple of heirloom items from my grandparents---the scales that weighed many a ton of kielbasa, and a 1920s Royal typewriter with cut glass side windows. Both still work, tho the scales haven't been state inspected since '47. Still have my Dad's machinist tool chest, and a handful of his tools. I have my grandfather's razor strop. I inherited my father-in-law's fiddle and old 1930s Silvertone guitar that survived a car accident. It's pretty much unplayable, tri-color burst with a bilious gold flake pick guard. I also have a 1940 Indiana railroad map of his. I haven't decided who I'll donate it to---either the Purdue Model Railroad Club (been around for a century), or the Indiana Railway Museum. The other heirloom I have is the mantle clock my Dad built in the '60s. I also have his penchant for jokes. We still have a few Christmas ornaments from when I was a kid.

Aside from my threadbare teddy bear, I don't really have much in the way of personal things from my childhood. Still have a piece of ivory from the piano I learned on, and a true tortoise shell pick from when I first started to play guitar. Most of the stuff from when I was a kid got purged when I went into the USAF. Thanks, Mom.

In a house full of antiques, I've got lots of useless old dust collectors.

However, this item is from my childhood-- how long has it been since some of you old-timers have seen one of these? It still works too!
I just grabbed it randomly off a nearby bookcase-- a kid today wouldn't have the faintest idea of how to use it.

A small wooden battleship about 6" long that's also a 3D puzzle. I've been told it dates to the 1930's. It was my grandfather's and when
he passed, my Dad kept it. When Dad passed, I took it on..
