OAHU Project - Thank you @Powdog :)

Today I picked up the little OAHU "Blue-Green-Moter-of-Toiletseat" that our member @Powdog kindly sent to me here in France.

The item came to me in genuine condition, as it was safely packed for the transit :

Surprisingly, I thought these OAHU amps were a bit bigger than that - say the size of my COMET amp - but with HxWxD=269x283x146mm, it is in-between The COMET and a Roland Micro-Cube :

No matter, that's fine : a Mighty-Cool-Tiny unit for a Fonky Amp Project to come...

Plastic tile would've never lasted at the Y. It does look like my great aunt's bathroom tho.

What is the most important to me here is that this little cab is complete, well preserved, without tears, bumps or local discolourations.

For the rest, I can manage all right... ASAP... That is to say when I'll have time to do it all right...

It's an early plastic. Same stuff as the bathroom tile and such. Luckily, this cab has withstood the tests of time, considering it's easily from the late '40s or early '50s.

Also, I've never seen or heard of plastic bathroom tiles LOL.

Sure @wabash slim ! I think that it is a kind of plastic film, similarly to what is found on accordions here in Europe...

I think there's enough room in the whole cab to install a Tremolo / Reverb circuit, probably not a spring one, but an integrated EHX Holy Grail Nano with deported Reverb pot, which is a solution that I used a number of times successfully on my guitar amp projects.

Below, one of them, the Orient-Express :






The OAHU is indeed smaller, but there's room in the cab to locate the power transformer and the HGN reverb outside the chassis, so I'm rather confident...

I had a Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser that had a Chevy 350 V-8. Called it the Disorient Express.

In the 50s the covering was used on toilet seats, hence the name "Mother Of Toilet Seat?
