Bounty Hunter
Gretschie
After learning that this model specs a 1 3/4" nut width I knew I'd have to own it. As I mentioned in another thread, my Setzer Hot Rod is an amazing guitar but going from my acoustics to the Gretsch was always an issue since all my acoustics have at least 1 3/4" nuts and a few are wider still. So......I found this beauty at a dealer a mere 90 miles from my home and long story short, Brian Setzer was kicked to the curb and Chet Atkins came home with me.
It's a 2005 model year that looks nearly new save for just a bit of patina on the gold hardware. The dealer gave a generous trade value on the Hot Rod and although I know I'll miss Brian, this Chet suits my fat & dumb fingers so I'm a happy boy. During the string change I took time to open it up and take a few pics inside the body because I'm always curious to see how something is built. I want to thank those here who shared their Gretsch knowledge with me since I am very limited in this realm of guitar geekiness. Time to learn a few Chet tunes!
