Never really was a Tele guy, I always looked at them as something older dudes played when they got sick of everything else and were too old to care any more. Kind of like buying a 'Vette when you turn 50.
That being said, I guess I'm getting old...

Hey Les… that Tele ticks many of my boxes despite it not being blue! I love the double-binding! I just put the TV Jones SuperTrons in a semi-hollowbody… and I’m digging them. How are you liking those in the Tele?

Honestly? I havent had it long, but I'm beginning to think that Supertrons are the perfect Tele pickup, especially a pair of them... dunno if it is the pine slab, or the hotrod circuit (two volumes ONLY - we don't need no stinkin' tone knob!) or a confluence of things, but this thing is incredibly versatile. I get crisp cleans on the bridge, thick chimy goodness on the neck, and so far sounds GREAT with ALL manner of dirt. From Jazz to Megadeth, it will seemingly do it all.
