Ooh, that looks gorgeous! I think if these T90s had metal surrounds like those T-Armonds, they would look great with gold surrounds/pickguard. Although actually your bezels and guard seem to be a much lighter gold than mine? Maybe that's helping it work better too. Could be just the lighting though. My photos were taken in the basement.

    @Shadowy_Man

Thanks! The bezels are TV Jones and the Pickguard is from QuickGuard. My 5420 came with the silver bezels and Pickguard.

you can get those clear bezels from Tom and then paint the undersides black. perfect look. Black looks fantastic against the orange!

Only thing i hate about these rings is that they break so easily

extruded acrylic expands and contracts. let the bezels sit in warm spot before installing them and be sure to manual insert the screws through the pilot
holes. snug down the screws while holding the bezel down, flexed over the curved surface of the instrument, and then turn the screw back a 1/4 turn.
You should never have to deal w them again. my 2 scents :)

They always break where the screws for the pickups are

The color combinations look a bit better with brighter lighting. Still on the fence about the covers. Any further thoughts?

I wonder if it might help to either use spongier height adjustment springs or maybe cut down the springs shorter so there's not as much pressure on the bezels?

A bit late here.... I was away for a long weekend...

I had T-90s in a thinline Cabronita, loved them, but replaced them with T-Armonds... love them as well. With the 90s I was looking to get some LP Junior flavor, and it worked if you turned the tone control down a little... not the same thing as a mahogany body/neck, of course. The T-armonds just sound like a FAT tele. They are likely the closest to tele pickups, sound-wise, they are very similar, just have more output and more bass.

I tried a T-90 in the neck of my Hot Rod, did not like that at all. But I'd like to try Pete Biltoft's new T-90s in a Filter housing:

Got a T90 in the front of this and love it. 20200627_142202.jpg back pickup is a GFS Alnico classic and they work well together.

The black is a good combination with the bigsby and bridgebase

That might help. I used the ones that came standard with the tv jones pickups

Yeah, I noticed those springs seem very stiff. I worried a bit about cracking the bezels with them.

Given the bridge and Bigsby are chrome / nickel / aluminium, I would say silver pickup rings would look better with the black pickup covers. Pickguard might be okay then as well, to my eyes at least.

Whatever you decide - sweet guitar!

I think they look fine the way they are, the black sits well with the black in the Bigsby. I just went down the road less traveled, Hilotrons, TV-HT's.

Hi, actually I'm putting the Filters in my Ibanez Artcore - I already ordered conversion rings for it.

If you check out Darren Riley, they have reasonably priced HS Filtertrons.
